IEEE-Northwest Energy Systems Symposium

University of Washington

Seattle, WA 98195

April 30-May 1, 2014

Abstract: In April of 2013, Puget Sound Energy implemented three major new systems:

1. Static paper maps maintained in CAD systems were converted to a fully integrated GIS using GE Smallworld platform.

2. Customer information was transferred from a legacy system to the CIS module of SAP which is integrated into the GIS, OMS, and mobile dispatch systems.

3. A new Outage Management System (OMS) was installed using GE PowerOn product.

Jennifer will discuss the current status of the project and how the new systems have affected operations at PSE.
